The Jackson Marble Company was founded around 1945, near Pennsboro, West Virginia. The founder Carol Jackson had been a machine operator at Champion Agate Company prior to venturing out on his own. Due to declining American made marble sales the company closed soon after. Most of the marbles Jackson produced were sold to other marble companies rather than directly to the retail market.
